Water pollution
Water pollution is the
contamination of natural water bodies by chemical, physical and radioactive substances. The negative
alteration of water quality presently produces large scale illness and deaths.
There are many causes and effects of
this environmental issue. Sewage from domestic households, factories and
commercial buildings are a big part of this problem. Sewage that is treated in
water treatment plants is often disposed into the sea. Oil pollution caused by
oil spills from tankers and oil from ship travel represent the most pollution
in our coast. Oil does not dissolve in water and forms a thick sludge. The
worst effect of this problem is the groundwater contamination from pesticides
that causes reproductive damage within wildlife in ecosystems.
Some things we can do to fix this issue are very simple. Do not throw
chemicals, oils, paints and medicines down the sink drain, or the toilet. Never throw rubbish
away anyhow. Always look for the correct waste bin. Use water wisely. Do not
keep the tap running when it’s not in use. If we all do this things, we
can significantly prevent water lacks and reduce the amount of dirty water that
needs treatment.
Water pollution is one of worst environmental issue. It is produce by us
and we are the only people who can fix this.
